Nicole didn’t know when they had arrived at the hospital. Her consciousness came in and out as the doctor’s took her to an operating room to get started on what they knew they could. They tried asking her questions and the only thing she could talk about was where William was, or how the baby was. Honestly to some of them it sounded like she had a small mental break but with how skinny she was… they were inclined to believe her.
However, before anyone could be called Nicole’s world went completely black and her body seized on the table.Getting her stable again seemed to take hours. The doctor’s worried as they did their best. Eventually though her heart gave out and the monitor flatlined. Though they didn’t give up and were able to get her back. After casting her wrist and leg, they checked on the baby, to find out two little embryo’s in her womb.
They were still too small to see if there was any lasting damage. Every few minutes nurses came in to check her vitals, the babies and her breathing tube. All kinds of monitors hooked up to her body.
Inside her mind Nicole searched around her. Nothing but darkness surrounded her as she panicked. Though she was able to find something she recognized. It was the fair grounds that William had taken her to on one of their dates. Her fear began to ebb away slowly as they memory played out before her like a dream.“Awe look at the little love birds.” A sinister voice said from behind. Turning things went dark again and there stood Davie. She backed away from him. “Looks like those days are over sweet cheeks.”
“No, that’s a lie.” Nicole said softly. He came and rescued her, “Yeah, because he was obligated to. He felt responsible for you.” She shook her head. “That’s not true, he said he loves me.”
“Oh honey,” a female voice said from behind her. Turning again she saw her mother. “He doesn’t love you. He’s been pushing you away, why would he want you to stay?” Tears pricked her eyes. “That’s not true. He’s just in a difficult place right now…” Davie laughed, “And you actually believe that?” Nicole flinched away and covered her ears. “You’re so naive baby girl. Do you really think you can live a happy life with a hardened criminal? And having his kid on top of that? You didn’t even conceive that baby by yourself. Your pheromones had taken you both over. How do you know it’s not an addiction on those?”
“NO! That’s not…! That’s not true! I didn’t mean… for that to happen…” Her mother walked closer and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Because you can’t control anything. You’re not strong enough.”

After ending the life of the man whom had threatened his family and everything he actually cared about. William was down for the count but luckily he was able to send out a 911 text to a super speedy friend. At the hospital his body had returned to normal and when he was stable Lulu was the one in the room with him. Other fools littered the halls but she didn't leave for mostly anything. When he finally woke up she was the first to speak to him about Nicole. At that point he was taken to her room without much choice of the medical staff.
From then on he refused to leave her side to the point that they moved his bed into the room. Seemed even hospital procedure couldn't win against his hard headed nature. After days and days of sitting there he was tired and had barely slept. When one of the new recruit came in and offered him the chance to bring Nicole back. She said it was a long shot but at this point he wanted any chance to bring his whole family back from the hospital. The doctors had spoken that she would not wake but the babies may have a chance.
There was no way he was using her as a disposable baby machine if he could bring them all home. Jumping at the offer this woman gave him and taking Nicole's hand as she touched both their heads. When his eyes opened he found himself in a grey shadowy version of new york where everything just seemed strange. Walking down the streets towards their home because he didn't know where else to look. The building was in a sort of ruin but he still made it up the stairs and pushed the door open.
Inside the place was wrecked and the furniture was broken and shredded. Moving down the hall he heard her voice and his pace quickened. His gaze found her sitting there curled up and a few heavy steps later he came to his knees before her. His arms took hold of her and pulled her close. "I've missed you.." He spoke to her quietly in that embrace that he didn't wanna let go from.
Being stuck in your own mind for days on end was just as bad as being stuck in that hell hole she was rescued from. The doubts bombarded her almost endlessly to a point where she was starting to believe they were true. All she could do for rest was curl and slam the door to her mind, turning it into something familiar yet broken. The inside of the apartment showed just how broken she felt. The mirrors and windows all's cracked and shattered, even the glass on the picture frames had cracks running through her face.
The furniture falling apart from its foundation. Buildings tumbled outside one by one as she sat there and watched. She wondered if she even really made it out or that what she saw of the hospital she was just making up in her head. Maybe she had finally fallen asleep and William confessing his love was all a dream for her.
Her ears perked as she heard footsteps coming down the hall. Though these we're heavier set than those of her mom or Davie. Her heart began hammering thinking it was possibly William but she dashed it away almost instantly. She hadn't seen him here how could he be there? A cry had left her lips though as she began to cry. She missed him so much and here she was stuck in her mind.
To her surprise the door opened to those heavy footsteps and soon she felt arms encircling her, pulling her close. Her bloodshot eyes widened as she looked up and her arms circled behind Williams chest in a tight hug. Hearing him say he missed her made her heart skip a beat and the tears streamed happily down her cheeks. “I missed you too.” She cried into his shoulder as she held tighter.
But the doubts started again as the door was left wide open. The shadow figure of her mother stood there with a wicked look on her face. “Really? He could just be a figment of your imagination like me. Look at him honey, doesn't he seem more emotional than every other time you've been with him?” Her mother took a step inside the room and more things began to shatter and crumble. “No… nonono. Stop it… stop it!” All she wanted to do was bury her head in the sand and get away from these nagging voices but she didn't know how. She felt so insecure about relationships. She didn't want fighting and arguing like what her parents had. It was one reason she was so scared of them in the first place. Fighting and screaming could be heard in the background as the scenery changed to back when she was a little girl. Her mom and dad arguing again about how to parent her.
“Make it stop.” She whispered as the memory faded to them both sitting in the bed of his truck. The starry night sky high above them as the noise drifted away. Everything calmed as a light breeze went by. “I’m sorry, for being such a burden.”

William was always known as the serious one in all regards of life. The fact was that he was seriously self-critical. It wasn't the biggest secret that he had his demons but what those demons were remained a secret to most. Very few people had seen William break down and those people were basically his siblings of the club. Buster, Johnny and Lulu had picked him up so many times from shady ass places. Completely out of his mind and even actual tears falling from his eyes. As he looked around this dark version of Nicoles mind it was a wake up call about other peoples struggles.
Though it didn't mean it was going to change his selfish self destructive patterns. Pulling away from Nicole when she spoke of being a burden he would lean in and kiss her for a few moments. Pulling away his serious gaze stayed on her. "You are no Burden. Nicole Davis, you are my life and i don't regret meeting you in the slightest babe." William spoke and he watched as the memory they were in changed. He remembered this as their second date and the dinner went by to fast so they sat and just enjoyed talking.
Around the club William was the quite brooding one but around a few select people he had another side. Sweet, goofy and sometimes romantic. His gaze moved from the stars to nicole. It was clear as day in his eyes how much he actually loved her. "Baby I'm gonna need to you wake up. Your in the hospital and i want to see you smile again. Our babies need you to come back to them and I need you to keep me alive." He spoke as his hand gripped her tightly. "Wake up and come home baby. Ill be right there beside you when you open your eyes."
