Months had passed by, hell, maybe it was a year. Davie didn’t really keep track as he made his way over the year to New York. He knew most people there could be the worst of the worst. However, he had a hard time believing his eyes though when he saw her. Her brunette locks, that strong diamond shaped face, and those hazel eyes. What a coincidence that she had stopped at the doctor’s office the same day he went out for coffee.
He had followed behind her, hearing a bit of her conversation with that other woman. She seemed nervous as she tried to hail a taxi, but none of them stopped. Nicole gave a sigh and ended up in an alley taking a bit of a breather. That’s when Davie made his move, forcing her up against a dumpster and a handkerchief over her mouth and nose. With her heightened senses she was more susceptible to chemicals to make her sleep and she had fallen easily.
That was about two months ago. Davie walked the halls of the abandoned meat packing warehouse. He had the place booby trapped for his pleasure on watching his victims suffer. But now, he was all but consumed with the suffering of the one woman he couldn’t have. Stepping in he went to the main office of the building and turned on the surveillance cameras. A wide smile came over his lips as he looked over her broken and battered form.
Right now there were papers and her cell phone on the way to William. Papers that would possibly have him in a tizzy more than he already was. He had heard how badly Tin man was, looking up and down Brooklyn for his girl. Now he’d be looking for someone extra, her and the little baby she carried inside her. Now, Davie hated hurting children. It was against his morals. It’s why he didn’t hit Nicole more than he has. He wouldn’t want her to lose the baby. Not when he could raise it as his own and break Nicole to his will.
But she was still pretty adamant about resisting. Last thing he did was knock one of her knees out. He was gonna keep her in pain. Now all he had to do was wait for the call to get this all started.
Hear my shapeless songs i'm singing and painting this morning light, bit by bit, hoping I'd get to that summer sky. I'm feeling alright I can see your palm reaching out to mine. ---In the orange sky, there is glowing fireflies.
There was a certain path of self destruction that was left behind a man who didn't really have anything to loose. Always the loner and the one to keep a woman at arms length. It would seem that some actual feeling had developed for the brunette that he picked up in that bar. The city was being torn apart and every lowlife thug beaten as he tried to find her but the trail was cold. He wasn't even sure if she was still in the city or that she hadn't just left him in general. After all he wasn't exactly mister feelings and openness.
All the other fools had accepted the fact that she was either long gone or dead somewhere. After two months of nothing it was useless to waste manpower to search for someone who was gone. So he spent his tired night drinking and entertaining other ladies. It wasn't something that actually filled the gap in his soul and they were meaningless distractions none the less. Sure he had spent a bit more time with the blonde Russian Lana, but it was only because she didn't rain on his party parade. On the couch was his form slouched over a video game controller as he was trying to work past his hang over.
When a knock came at the door her was off the couch in a few moments. All the other fools were out of the building so his hand went and pulled the pistol from the holster under his jacket. With it gripped behind his back he pulled the door open and the was a string bean of a nerdy boy. From his freckles to his glasses was a disaster that screamed 40 year old virgin. "Are you lost?" his cold voice spoke out and the guy dropped the the large envelope in his hands. After watching the kid leave, William grabbed the envelope and stepped inside. Pouring the contents onto his bar, There was a letter, sonogram pictures and a phone with loads of videos.
Now he knew who took Nicole and the fact that she was pregnant as well. Staring between a video and the pictures of what he assumed were his children there was silence in the air. Babies weren't his thing and he sure didn't want to raise any kids. They were careful and he was adamant about protection. though seems the attempts failed and he realized that he was now looking for more than one person.
Nicole hadn’t known how long she had been held in this hellhole for. She stopped trying to keep track of the days because she had no windows or a clock to help her at all here. Occasionally Davie would come in, trying to break her and brag that he stumped William. He wouldn’t be looking for her. But she didn’t believe that. She didn’t want to believe that, but the little doubt in her mind had started to grow with each cut and bruise.
She didn’t want to be weak though. She had to stay strong not just for her own life, but for the ones growing inside of her. She couldn’t lose faith that he was still looking. But trying to keep positive was becoming harder and harder, especially when she couldn’t move as well anymore. Already she could see a difference herself. Everything was heightened, her senses multiplied more, as well as her pain. She tried moving her leg as she adjusted on the dirty floor.
Her knee protested, part of the bone jutting out just a bit under the skin. She knew it was broken and same went for one of her wrists as it dangled lifelessly over her abdomen. Every part of her hurt as she heard the door buzzer as she smelled that same damn way back in Michigan. Davie walked through the door with a phone in his hand. A wide smile took up his face as he dialed a number.“I believe you’ll want to have a few minutes with your tinman. Not like he has the heart to come and save you anyway.” He commented and placed the phone on speaker.
She was so confused until she heard the threat from the other line after it picked up. “Will…” Tears welled as her voice shook. “I don’t think threatening me is the best way to get Nicole out of here safely. Do you?” Davie asked and kicked her broken leg earning a scream of pain from her lips. A cold sweat took over Nicole’s body as the pain raced like a cattle prod to her brain. Everything felt so sensitive. “Will...please...I’m sorry. I should’ve paid better attention.” The tears spilled as she apologized. She felt like it was her fault for getting into this mess when really it was just the wrong place at the wrong time.
“Awe, so heartfelt. I think I’m gonna be sick.” Davie spoke and walked across the room.

Hear my shapeless songs i'm singing and painting this morning light, bit by bit, hoping I'd get to that summer sky. I'm feeling alright I can see your palm reaching out to mine. ---In the orange sky, there is glowing fireflies.
This was the first real lead that he had in months to find Nicole and he wasn't wasting time. Taking his keys off the counter and heading towards the garage with a destination in mind. Being a fool you had connections but in a new city it was a little inconvenient. Luckily rich boys could get just about anything for the right amount of cash. Using a contact from a old friend at the mutant highschool was the best option. This guy made his fortune fixing anything electronic because he was basically able to find any info he needed.
Like a living hard drive so this is where William was pulling up when the call came in. Swiping across the screen he put the phone to his ear as he strolled up to a old buddies house. "Let her go you sick fuck and pick on somebody who can take the damage. Thats way i can slit your fucking...." His voice trailed off as he heard davie scold him for threats and then Nicole screamed. His already metallic blood was running cold, as he stepped into Circuts house. Inside they hooked the phone to a wire attached to the mutants wrist.
"This isn't your fault babygirl. I'm going to find you and get you out of there. I'm going to kill him and take you on a trip far away." William reassured Nicole as the tracer was already working its way to a location. Within moments the electronic mutant wrote down an address and William headed out the door with his buddy. Someone he trusted was going to to need to get nicole to safety and right now that wasn't his club. They had given up on her and he wasn't exactly in the best place with them. So for now circuit would drive the get away vehicle while William killed this psycho fuck.
The words coming out of tinman’s mouth just pissed Davie off more. Seeing the relief it gave Nicole raised it even more and he kicked her again in the leg. He wouldn’t lose this girl to him again. She would break, she would submit, she would be his. Hearing the bone chilling scream Davie grinned. “Oh, you’ll kill me? You’ll have to get to me first boy.” Davie said before hanging up the phone. “He doesn’t know this place like I do. But how about we let the little lab rat out for a tour of the maze?” Davie asked yanking Nicole to her feet.
She screamed out again trying to keep up with Davie’s fast pace as he walked her, more like dragged her through the door, into the hall. Davie then let go of her and disappeared down a dark hall. Leaving Nicole to wander through the booby trapped halls as he went through without problem.
Getting back to the main office he plopped himself in the swivel chair and huffed like a child losing his favorite toy. His leg bobbed in irritation as he watched Nicole struggle to limp through the halls trying to follow his scent when she fell over vomiting. “Don’t lose your lunch babe, you need the strength if you wanna live.” He spoke over the intercom system with maniacal laughter.
There was obvious relief on her face as she heard William’s voice. Hearing that he was coming for her. Her tears of pain turned to relief and overwhelming happiness to just hear the words she needed all this time. But before she could respond to him, Davie had already said his piece and hung up. The relief started to slowly melt away as her mind came back to the present and where she still sat. In the grasp of Davie and at his mercy. Whether she had some now was in the air.
Feeling rough hands yanking her around she couldn’t help the pained scream coming from her lips. Her leg protested more another snap popping in the hall as Davie spoke about letting her roam around the halls. She held her broken wrist close to her body as Davie’s back faced her.
Before she knew it he was gone and she was alone in the dim hallway. Looking around he used the wall as leverage to help her limp along. The pain though grew with every movement. Eventually, the pain got to be too much and she lurched forward to her hands and knee as the small lunch she had earlier came up. Hearing the snarky comment that Davie gave with the laughter left a chill down her spine.
Slowly she inched her way back up against the wall and limped her way around the corner. All the while she hadn’t sensed the camera’s watching her every move. The phone William had chimed with a new video message from an unknown number. The video showed Nicole’s struggle to get around the concrete maze. However, a buzzer sounded and loud squeaking could be heard. Nicole tried to summon what strength she could to move, but her body was tired.
Pain coursed through her veins as she felt her vision blur. Moving toward the door that had opened only to trip over a wire and fall into a lower level of the floor covered in broken glass. “FUCK!”She yelled and tried sitting up. “Why don’t you just give up? He isn’t gonna get here in time.”
Nicole closed her eyes keeping the doubts at bay remembering William’s words. He said he’d take her away from here. He’d kill this bastard and take her away.“I can’t… give up on him. You’re going to regret everything that you’ve done!”The anger was beginning to build as she painfully cleared away bits and pieces of glass with her bare hands. Blood dripped from cuts and wounds. A large piece stuck out from her thigh as she tried to ignore it to get to the other side.

The drive was taking entirely too long to get to the place where Nicole was and it was easy to see Williams patience fade. Eventually they pulled up and he darted out of the truck. Finding an entrance he jerked on the chain door. What he didn't know was the booby traps in this place as when the door gave way. There was a jagged piece of rusted metal thrust into his shoulder. He groaned as it pierced but all he could do was break part of it off. The pain was too much for him to pull it out in one piece.
This left his left arm and shoulder decommissioned but all he needed was the right hook and a gun to handle this little shitstain coward. Pulling a flashlight from hit pocket and flipping it one as he walked. Wincing through the pain he gripped it with his left hand and pulled his revolver with the right and moved through the building. The place was condemned and unsafe without it being a trap for him to weave through. "Nicole?" He called out on a quieter side not wanting to give away his position. Thats when his eyes spotted a glowing camera in the corner. Raising the gun he shot it out and then kept his moving.
The next doorway was an unseen trip wire and he was blasted with a symphony of flashbangs around the room. One after the other as he stumbled and pulled more trip wires. Suddenly he went over an edge and fell through a hole in the floor. Hitting the next floor with a loud thud that knock the wind outta him. Coughing a bit as he held his head and tried to gain his bearings back. "Let see what behind door number one."
The voice called from the speaker as he made it to his feet. his attention turned when the sound of snarling filled his ears. There were two rather angry rottweiler looking dogs standing to the left and right of him. Looking away from them he spotted his revolver a few feet away and darted for it. Though the dogs were fast and one had a hold of his leg. The other bit his side and he was drug to the ground in the shadows of the room. Groans and growling could be heard before gunshots and whimpers. Suddenly it was silent and movement all seemed to stop.
After a few moments A worse for wear william had appeared in metal form. Though his injuries bled now a substance that looked like molten metal. As he got out of the room he rounded a corner and found nicole. Pulling her into a hug as his eyes scanned for a camera which he found a took out. "Okay you listen to me and follow what I tell you. Go up that staircase one flight and out the south entrance. You will see my truck and a friend outside. He will get you out of here and you can't look back okay." William spoke as his gaze met hers.
Even in his mutant state he looked weak and tired but he kissed her forehead despite the ragged breath."Go now before he sees the cameras are down. I love you." William finally spoke the words to nicole and stumbled down the hall screaming her name as if he was still searching for her.
Creeping her way through this maze of traps and and wires Nicole was finally starting to feel like she was really going to die. Silently she prayed that her end would be quick and she coughed as smoke began to fill the hall she had sat down in. Moving slowly she got up and limped her way around a few more corners were she just collapsed to the ground. Blood covered her arms, hands, face and legs as she cried and whimpered. Up the stairs she could faintly hear the sounds of snarls and she sighed.
But then there was something loud and everything went deathly quiet. For a moment t she thought maybe she had fallen asleep as her eyes were closed when she felt arms wrapping around her body. Her eyes fluttered open at his voice and her tears spilled even more freely. Even through the tiredness and pain Nicole gave a smile before it distorted as she cried hugging William tight. Half of what he said stuck in her bed but panic set in as he began pulling away. She didn't want him leaving.
Although it seemed to settle as she heard the three words she'd been patiently waiting to hear. Sniffling she slowly rose to her feet as he did. “I love you too William. Please… be careful.” She whispered as he left down the corridor she had already been down. Steadily she moved out the way William had told her to and she eventually made it outside. Seeing his truck and the man he mentioned she did her best to get over to him and fell short. Her mind went blank as she reached forward and her body fell.
Nothing was going as Davie had planned for this. He thought everything was planned out to the last detail, but it wasn't. He didn't plan things around William. He planned them around Nicole. To break her, to make her mind give in.
Though he had some fun with her. The crying and screaming had him going for the first few times. Whispering in her ears that her beloved metal head was just going around finding the best tail in town since she was gone. Of course she never believed it, or so she said. But watching her on the screens he could see her breaking.
But having cameras go black was starting to piss him off. William had arrived a lot sooner than he had expected and he tried to push buttons that would make Nicole move away from the corridors he'd be going down. “Let's see what's behind door number one!” He said with some excitement as the hounds were released from their cages.
Though it didn't last when another camera had gone out. Davie scattered things off the desk in a rage wisps of smoke left his mouth. Though looking at the other cameras he started to notice Nicole wasn't in any of them. One facing the south doors on the outside saw a truck spinning its wheels out of the gravel parking lot.
Things went flying and Davie grabbed the gun that had flown to the floor in his rage. Davie wasn't the best shot in the world but right now that didn't occur to him. His property was taken from him again. This bastard would pay. Leaving the main office he turned a few corners knowing this place so well. Tinman was going to die if it was with his last breath.
