Time had passed and Lulu was finally starting to settle into her new life. The house that was supposed to be shared with Johnny she left to him and moved Keith and the kids into a bigger place for all of them. Work was getting easier to do when she put the daycare into the building for single parents. Everything seemed to be pulling together except for the fact that she found herself drifting farther from the Fools. They were her friends and family but word of Johnny's new girl had gotten to her and she just didn't feel right being there.[break][break]
Tonight Keith was staying home with the kids so she could go meet and talk with Johnny. She wanted to do this alone to save from any more unneeded tension that was already between the two ex-lovers. Not that Keith was thrilled but it was just for everyone's best interest and honestly Lulu didn't believe Johnny would ever actually hurt her. Slipping into a cute slip maternity dress{click} that his the bump but showed off curves. Blue eyes looked herself over in the mirror as she finished her makeup. Just because she was going alone didn't mean she wasn't going to dress up. Show the fucker what he lost when he chose to leave her behind. [break][break]
Once her Stilletos were on she headed downstairs to the living room where Keith and all the kids were. "what are we watching?" Her soft voice spoke out and Ellie turned around. 'FROZEN!!!' Jataya and Ellie both squealed and the boy's kinds just groaned and went back tot heir own handheld devices. Seeing Keith on the end of the couch it was clear his uncertainty about her going to meet Johnny alone. "Don't worry I'll be back shortly and maybe we can go for a night time swim," Lulu said as she leaned over the back of the couch and kissed his cheek.[break][break]
"I'll see you all later tonight." With that, she was out the door and headed to her favorite sports car. Taking the 30-minute drive into the city she found herself out some popular little nightclub that she invested in. Yeah, she couldn't drink but it didn't mean she couldn't enjoy a bit of dancing and music. Movie past the line the bouncers let her in and she was escorted to the VIP section. A server took her drink order and she moved out onto the dance floor. Moving to the music she just killed the time until Johnny arrived for this important meeting.
Johnny was anxious. Not because he was going to see Lulu, but because he was going to ask her for custody. Honestly she was a mess when they first found out the news. She was panicky and sick with fear. Then Jataya came into the picture. Johnny knew she took care of her little sister and that wasn't really an issue. He didn't doubt her parenting skills.
He always knew she would make a terrific mother, but the fact was it was his kid too! It was his bloodline. Half of him was growing inside her and with her business and her sister she had her hands full. They were going to have triplets and sadly they lost two of them... Still, there was one left. His little survivor. Johnny had a new girlfriend and that was all well and good. He wasn't going to instantly crown her mommy and push her into his kid's life.
In fact, he wanted to keep Tierra pretty seperate from it for the most part until they were more serious. Johnny hadn't even told her about the kid yet, they just weren't that involved. It had been a month since they started seeing each other but Johnny Rome was the leader of The Fools. It took longer than a month to earn your way into the family and to be trusted with their secrets. So, dating was rather slow paced. Johnny arrived at the club wearing a black italian suit, his hair slicked back.
A platinum watch on his wrist and italian loafers that screamed expensive. He didn't usually dress this way. Usually it was a leather jacket and a pair of jeans, but this was important. Johnny headed into the club and made a b-line for the bathroom. He had to splash some water on his face and get his nerves under control. Honestly if it came to it....Johnny would leave the club to prove he was willing to do anything to raise his son...But that wasn't part of his arguement. Johnny wanted his kid to be raised in that family that he had.
The Fools. Every one of those mother fuckers would bleed for that kid. They would protect him for his entire life and those were bonds that you couldn't buy. That was forever. Johnny splashed his face and looked at himself in the mirror. He looked like a confident cocky asshole that he always was, but there was muturity there. This wasn't the partying boozy flirt with a pension for sparkly expensive things.
This was a soon to be father. "You got this. You can do this. Be a fucking man!" He said to assure himself. He heard a flush and a fat guy came out of the stall with toilet paper on the bottom of his shoe. "I don't know what you're talking about young man, but i think you got this. Go give'em hell." He tried to give Johnny a men's room pep talk with toilet paper on his foot and Johnny just rolled his eyes and moved through the door.
His eyes settled on the VIP section where he knew Lulu would be. She was always used to the fancier things and being spoiled. Why would tonight be any different. He didn't know what Lulu wanted to meet for, but she was going to be surprised to say the least when she found out what he had to say. Moving up to her he was let in the VIP section. "Hey Lu....You look good." He said sitting down across from her.

The dance floor was crowded and the music rang in her ears as she danced with some young buff guy. In the earlier days, Lulu loved going out with Johnny and hitting the dance floor. She lived for those close intimate moments and the rush that she got racing the streets with him. He was that rebel boy and at the same time the knight in shining armor who had saved her from a horrible fate. One where she was abused both mentally and physically. He was the one who helped her escape and for years he built her up and made her forget the tragic past she had come from.[break][break]
Over those years she had pushed him further and higher up the ranks in the Fools to get him where he was. No one in Detroit would so much as cross the path they were walking down the sidewalk. Johnny and Lulu the power couple, The Ride and Die outlaw sweethearts. The move to New York was supposed to be something good for them to maybe just get away from all the bad. Turns out it was the end of an era and Lulu was starting to slowly accept a new path. [break][break]
Keith had been her guiding light and he had helped her through everything so far. He was an amazing man and he was so great with kids that she knew he was good for her. Finally, she pushed out of the dancing crowd and headed back to the VIP area. Her mind was anxious because really this was the first casual meeting with Johnny since the breakup. Sure he had been to several doctors appointments when his schedule with the Fools allowed it. Those appointments they didn't really talk much and afterward he was out the door.[break][break]
Her stomach was in knots ad she sipped the soda she ordered and not much longer after Johnny appeared. He was dressed so nice and stylish as he remembered how she always wanted him when they went out. Lulu had brought her fools jacket but it wasn't on her shoulders this time and instead it was lying over the arm of the Loveseat she was sitting on. With her new job and things with Keith she just didn't feel like the fools were the place for her. Being called at random times of the day and night to show up at the club for business.[break][break]
That just wasn't the Life she wanted to lead anymore. He complimented her and just hearing him speak her name was enough to make her heart skip a beat. Blue eyes stared as she stood up and stepped towards him. Leaning up she kissed his cheek and smiled a bit as her gaze settled. "You don't look so bad yourself Mr. Rome." Returning to her seat just made her nerves grow even more and she felt like all her progress moving on was set back. After all, it was supposed to be the two of them against the world but instead here they were.[break][break]
Opening her bag she pulled out the ultrasound picture from the last visit that he had missed. She felt the little loveseat shift as Johnny sat there and she handed it to him. "Congrats Papi. You're going to have a son. Little Johnny Rome junior, the breaker of hearts." Lulu spoke with a smile as she let her gaze lock on his for a minute. Lulu wanted to just come right out and tell Johhny she wanted out of the life. That it wasn't the place for her and their Child but she just froze in place as she looked at him.[break][break]
It had been a month and she was hoping that with time she wouldn't have had an issue seeing him. Tearing her gaze away from him she forced herself to stare at the dancing crowd around them. "Johnny, I want out of the club..." The words finally slipped out as she stared at all the young people out there. Memories of the two of them and all those close dances they had in some ratty club of Detroit came back to her. "I have a Legit job and really the Club just isn't the place for me or our child. Bullets and bloodshed. Our baby doesn't deserve to have enemies from the day he's born."[break][break]
The words ran smoothly out of her lips as she looked over at him and she could see that he wasn't happy about it. A song filled the air and she moved off the couch quickly needing to get some distance. "I love this song. Pretty sure this was the jam when we were kids." Moving past the ropes before he had a chance respond she found her way back out to the floor. There was a genuinely happy smile on her lips as she started dancing with the Crowd. Her gaze did glance back at Johnny a few times before she lost herself back with the music.
