Today, Jackson finally had some time to spend with his daughter, so he figured a surprise trip to the central park gazebo would be nice. She always loved looking at the flowers, and feeding the ducks some bread. He had a loaf of it sitting next to him on the bench as he watched her sing a song from class and do the little dance movements. Her light blonde hair glowing with the rays of sunlight.
He watched her for a long while laughing and just enjoying seeing the happiness on her face. But the memories of his life with Natalie in his life would come back seeing her dance with little Aliyah. He wanted to know why she had changed so much. Why she had become so cold and unloving. But she refused to talk to him about it and left them, not bothering to take anything after the divorce. She didn’t even take a picture of Aliyah. That’s when his phone began to vibrate in his pocket. Pulling it out he looked at the caller id and rolled his eyes. Honestly these guys didn’t know what to do in a freaking bar.
“Baby girl, I gotta take a phone call. Don’t leave that spot okay?” He called out. “Okay daddy!” She responded and kept practicing her song. Answering the phone he got up and moved a little bit away. Jackson was in his own little world trying to figure out the problem his employee was having when Aliyah decided she didn’t want to wait and feed the ducks. Grabbing the loaf of bread she happily moved down to the pond and opened it.
Sitting at the edge of the pond she pulled out a few pieces and tore them up nice and small. “One two three, they all come back to me.” She sang, making up her own song now.

Avalon woke up early, she had a customer that agreed to a meet before the sunrise even set over the horizon because he had some shady business the night that followed. For a hefty price she adapted the helix shaped DNA of a simple fungi to an extremely effective and untraceable toxin. While she truly and utterly promoted the natural beauty of plants in her shop she’d happily adapt the DNA of any plant or plant byproduct for the best price. Hell, she even made flowers with extremely potent pheromones for those who weren’t gifted with enough charm to dive into the world of love. Needless to say after the somewhat perverted asshole left her shop she hardly had the energy to run the business for the coming day.
She wasn’t particularly bothered to put too much effort into her appearance, she was comfortable with the natural beauty of her curls as they flowed over the bare skin of her shoulders. The shirt she wore hung from her figure with two simple straps, barely visible in it’s white contrast to her fair skin. The rough fabric of her navy jeans hugged her figure almost perfectly, it was charming but not constricting and she felt comfortable in the added weight of her effortless attire.
She waved a friendly greeting to the old lady who always walked the familiar street outside her shop, almost always just as the day greeted the sunrise. Avalon took a long detour to the park, she stopped by to wave a healing palm over the garden of a blind man who could no longer water his plants without missing the beauty of their blossoming flowers. She knew he couldn’t see but she made sure the flowers smelled charming and that even a man lacking a nose would be able to appreciate their fragrance.
Stepping into the park she felt the rejuvenating wave of nature wash over her, it was euphoric and refreshing. She wound up running her fingers through a row of beautiful lilies, they were wild and preciously tame at the same time. Avalon, despite the absolute charming relation to the afterlife in an overly dramatic myth was fond of life and the adventure thereof.
Avalon spotted a young girl feeding the ducks, her attention was mostly drawn to the blonde haired little stranger feeding the loud animals because of the short, fat asshole staring at her like she was a full course meal to a starving soul. She didn’t like the look in his eyes, she hardly even had time to think before she crouched next to the young girl blocking the asshole’s perverted vision.
“Morning sweetheart. You’re not all alone here, are you?”, Avalon spoke sweetly before twisting to glare at thee man over her shoulder. He gave her a dirty look, scoffed and walked off. Avalon felt relief but she didn’t quite spot the young girl’s parents. Avalon’s eyes grew soft as she sunk down onto the ground with her legs crossed over one another, “I’m Avalon. Would you like to see a trick?”.
Avalon dug into her pocket to feel the small packet of seedlings, she rummaged until she felt the soft touch of barely no weight graze her palm. “Do you like Orchids?”, Avalon hardly waited until the seedling sprouted green leaves in the soft caress of her touch. She watched a stem manifest into reality before the dark blue petals bloomed in a gentle collection of patterns.
She held the flower out to the young girl with a kind smile, “it’s a secret though, so shh”, her voice was soft and comical to a slight degree as she lifted a single finger to her lips to hush the secret of her mutation. Honestly though, she didn’t give half a shit. GADEM grew ballsy but she was hardly worried that a little girl would drive her onto their radar, besides, she wasn’t sure she wanted to leave her alone until she was sure someone could scare off the sickos out to instigate chaos.
