When Aurora made a deal she was one who kept her word if for no other reason than self preservation. Making sure Andi had stayed alive and came off the life support machine. A few nights later there was a intruder in the Gadem Facility following the death of Samuel Bryant. Explosions tore the building apart and the mutants there had been set free including Andi. Though the persona who walked out of that building wasn't mother dearest but the precious cargo she now carried.
She wouldn't let her 'mother' go back to the weak willed bird boy as long as she needed her. This had been a full 12 months ago and their trail stayed moving as Samael and his friends kept chasing. When Andi woke up she was in a apartment and her eyes had fluttered open. There was heavy confusion as the vision finally cleared. The last thing she remember was her holding cell and almost dying.
Rising from the bed she rubbed her temples forming a strong migraine. It was literally the equivalent of a telepathic Electroshock therapy so her mind was full of fog. Moving through the apartment she stopped in front of a room with a crib and baby items. as she came to her senses she started to panic and found the cell phone on the coffee table. Dialing the only number she kept by memory she ended up with a voice mail. "Samael... Its Andi... I dont know whats happening... Help.. I'm at 36574 Ocean View drive, Modesto California. Hurry..."
Ever since that day he came back Samael had been different. He was filled with hatred, toward himself, toward GADEM. It had taken Draven to calm him down after his wings had burst into flames on that couch. He couldn’t keep from watching the facility from a safe distance though as he wanted to keep an eye on them.
But he couldn’t stay still when he found the facility destroyed and Andi nowhere to be seen. That night he packed a bag and was about to leave until Draven showed up at his apartment door with Harper in tow with bags packed to go. He had tried arguing with Draven that he didn’t need to bother coming along. It had hurt to say it, but he didn’t want his friend getting dragged along.
He hadn’t considered that because of the different dynamics and split between the Fool’s that Draven and Harper weren’t really ones for sides. Harper hated any form of conflict, and Draven he knew was so laid back he was drifting down a different river every day. So taking one of the cars, and the money he had saved up they made their way west.
Samael had been deep in sleep of the musty motel room he shared with his friends. He hadn’t heard his phone going off until the very end of the last ring. His arm moved about lazily on the nightstand and picked it up as the tone for the voice message dinged. Adjusting his eyes he now took in more of his surroundings and heard the shower running. Looking around Draven was still asleep on the pull out couch, and Harper nowhere in sight.
Looking back at his phone he didn’t recognize the number and put it to his ear as he opened the message. Hearing Andi’s voice on the other end his heart soared with relief, but also felt crushed with guilt at hearing her panicked and confused voice. “Dude… dude dude dude… wake up!” Samael threw a pillow and hit Draven square in the face. He tried to rush out of the bed but his legs got tangled and he landed with a loud thud. “She called! We need to go! Now!”
When The GADEM facility burned Draven knew that samael was going to go looking for this girl of his. Before his friend could run off him and Harper decided they were going with him. Sure William and Nova were his siblings but with the shift in the club and it splitting into new factions Draven brought up the idea of a nomad group. They kept their association with the club but they just weren't glued down anymore. Heading out on the road they chased any sign of this woman andi they could find and the trail had gone a bit cold.
Still as long as his friend wasn't giving up neither was he and they all got time to bond a bit more on the road. After all sharing hotels made you about as close as possible when you didn't wanna rip your roommates face off. The night before he had stayed up and smoked like four big ones with Harper and Samael. so needless to say he munched down on some snacks and passed out staring at the stars he illuminated their room with.
Draven always was a rolling stone and he would leave out of surf trips and snow boarding adventures. His personality was laid back and trying to chose a side in the club just made him want to run even more. Lu and Johnny were family but he didn't have a problem with Bastina either really. In his sleep he was having the strangest dream that he went to a land ruled but giant fruits.
There was a war between the Banana folk and the peach people. He was the savior of the peaches but his forces had been slaughtered and he was retreating with his troops when the pillow hit him in the head. "Fall back to fort Peachy pie." The words came out his mouth in his sleepy stupor of sorts. Covering his head with another pillow on the pull out couch he heard the thud and finally shot up. Looking down he saw Samael and got a stupid grin on his lips.
"Bruhhhh... You sleep on the bed... not beside it.. did to forget how to bed?" A laugh escaped his lips as he rubbed his eyes. Harper's bed was empty and he could see the light on under the bathroom door. "I had this weird dream... So many peaches died last night." He spoke in a zoned out voice and stared into the wall across the room.
"Why did you wake me up? My people needed me." A goofy pouty frown tugged at his lips before he grabbed a joint off the table and lit it. The only good way to start the day was with a nice fat one and some donuts.
Harper wasn’t really one for choosing sides or making conflicts that she couldn’t get out of. She hid in the background, people watching. It’s what she was good at doing. She saw the big shift in members with Bastina vs Johnny and Lulu. She had been loyal to Johnny and Lulu ever since they and Queenie got her fixed up and made her a member of not just the Fool’s but of a family. It had been something she always wanted, but something she had also feared because of her past.
When the opportunity presented itself in the form of GADEM burning she was ready with Draven and left with him and Samael. The nomadic Fool’s. She liked the ring of it, but having these two goofballs together was sometimes grating on her sanity. Although it wasn’t like that all the time. She’d get a few zingers in, get back with a few pranks. At least on Samael, Draven was more stoned than her and Samael most of the time.
Made it damn near impossible for her to really get hints across that she liked him more than just a friend. She didn’t dare do anything more lewd or revealing since Samael was there. She wanted to be considerate towards him. It couldn’t be easy having to chase after a woman for a whole twelve months. But today was just another day as she got up before the boys. She decided a shower would do her some good at waking up and stepped into the bathroom.
The warm water was nice against her cold skin as she washed away the sweat from the night under heavy covers. She had stayed up and watched the stars that Draven had made. Samael had been the first to pass out. She didn’t know how long she stood under the spray of water, but she eventually heard a loud thud, her eyes automatically rolled as she smiled.
Getting out and drying herself off she dressed and looked herself over. Normally she wasn’t one for a lot of makeup unless it was her eyeliner. Today she actually went presentable. Some foundation, mascara and blush, and little eyeliner and lip gloss. Looking herself over she wondered if Draven would even notice… A sigh left her lips as she opened the door to hear Samael say the Andi had contacted him. “She actually got ahold of you? Dude, that’s awesome!”
Samael couldn’t keep the smile from his face as he clicked the call back option. He’d let her know he’s on his way to her. “Let’s get some donuts… I’m starving.”

Andi was so lost and in a panicked state that she didn't notice her telekinetic powers had vanished. Everything besides her that telepathic powers had went away with the being who became their daughter. Right now she was curled up in a corner of the kids room with her hands on her head trying to erase the clouds that fogged her brain. So far she couldn't make any progress and hearing her phone ring she answered it reluctantly. Samael was saying they were on the way and she just hung up while having her mental break down.
Though after a few minutes she found herself in the shower then getting some sort of presentable. Andi had never met any of Samaels friends and she assumed some of them were with him. What she didn't know was that he was already in California. Finishing her Makeup she did her best to hide her puffy eyes before hearing the buzzer at her door go off. Pushing the button she waited for them to come up and she had the door open before Samael could even knock.
She practically jumped into his arms and gripped him close to her. Her face was on his chest as she tried to not cry even more. "I'm so scared... I don't know how I got here. I was just at Gadem yesterday and now im here.." Her soft voice broke as she looked up at him. She didn't know she had been gone a year or anything that had happened.
Samael was worried when Andi hadn’t stayed on the phone with him. “Alright peach princess, we gotta go.” He said and laughed. Getting up he untangled from the sheets and dressed in a loose tank top, his leather pants, and his Fool’s jacket. Putting on his boots and gloves he watched as his wings shrank some.
Grabbing his stuff he didn’t bother with a shower. The urgency in her voice from that voicemail, and her being so distant with that hang up he was starting to panic. Though his face looked calm and excited he knew the shit storm that was most likely going to come his way. Grabbing the keys and making sure he grabbed everything he looked to Harper and Draven. “Plan here is to just drop me off at her apartment. Go grab some donuts for us all or whatever you guys like. Andi and I will need some time to talk.” Samael’s voice was sad as he had the memories pass back through that devastating moment. That weak moment.
Shaking his head he headed out the door and out to the parking garage. Getting into the car he waited for them to buckle up before putting on his sunglasses and putting the top of his chevy down. Driving the only thing on his mind was the doubt of her staying with him after knowing what he had done. He was trying to prepare himself for the heartbreak, for the anger. But it wasn’t going to be enough he knew it.
Parking in front of the apartment building Samael tried to swallow around the lump of nerves in his throat. “Harper drives.” He sorted and she jumped into the front seat with a smile. “Donuts here we come! Good luck man.” Getting some kind of support from his friends he felt a little better and buzzed her room. Getting the buzz back he made it in quickly and didn’t stop until he was embraced in Andi’s arms.
All he wanted was for this moment to stay. That this could just wash away all the sin he’s done to keep her alive with him. Feeling her petite frame against his he just held her close and tight. “I’m so glad you’re okay.” He kissed the top of her head taking in the small of her shampoo from her recently washed hair. A hand cradled the back of her head as the other circled her waist. Tears pricked as he moved them both into her apartment. He just wanted to tell her it was just a very vivid nightmare. But he didn’t want to start lying to her now. “Listen Andi… I… it’s been a lot longer than just yesterday.” He paused for a moment. “It’s been a whole year since then.”

Andi left her face in his chest just taking in the warmth and the scent she had almost forgotten. His arms around her and feeling him kiss the top of her head was a calming affect and for a moment her body stopped its shaking as they back into her apartment. Though when he spoke again it instantly took away all the calm she had and she pulled away from him. "A year?" Her eyes were confused but she smiled thinking that it had to be a joke.
That was funny and she laughed a bit before stepping forward again and pressing her lips to his. In that moment of connection she felt her mind swimming with memories. From that moment she had said goodbye to him in her coma to him in hotels all over the country with friends hunting her. Jerking away she stepped back several feet. "A whole year? How did it happen? I remember now I was dying and... how am I still here?"
The panic in her voice was obvious as her arms crossed across her torso and rubbed each other. Samael stepped closer but she stepped back needing air and a moment to process all these things. It was all starting to close in around her and suddenly her brain was hearing conversations in the whole building. Her fingers rubber her temple as she closed her eyes and tried to calm herself. This was like a new sort of nightmare she could not shake away from.
Samael had wished it was a joke. That all of what had happened was just on big nightmare that they had both been trapped in. That GADEM had never bothered them on their little island. But no, it had happened and now he was going to take responsibility for his terrible action. He sighed into the kiss as her soft lips were placed on his. He missed those painted lips, the soft skin of her body.
But she pulled back and fear took up the once laughter her eyes held. Pain swirled with guilt and regret in his blue depths. He couldn’t keep it bottled as tears brimmed. “You did… you did die. For a full minute.” He remembered the long drawn out beep, the flickering of her image in their dream paradise. He reached out for her, but she pulled back more and his lip quivered some.
Taking a deep breath Samael looked to the floor, his fists clenching tight before releasing. “She was let out of her cage when you…” He looked up at Andi to see more fear. “I… I was weak, and selfish. She offered me a deal…” His voice trailed off not wanting to work at all now. His throat was so dry now getting to his confession. He couldn’t look her in the eye.
“It was either you die… or she saves you, and she takes over the body of our first child.” His voice was a soft whisper. He knew how it happened, but he had never expected her to make Andi go cross country away from him. He should’ve been stronger, but he’d do anything for Andi, to keep her safe, to keep her happy. But this was one of those things he had the worst feeling about. He waited for her to scream at him, that she hates him, that she never wanted to see him again. Choosing her over their child… he was a weak selfish man.

Everything just seemed like a bad dream that she could wake up from. It was like being told you lost your child when you didn't even remember having one and it was a stab to her heart. Andi didn't remember the conception of the child so it must've been the monster that made it happen. Now she was standing there just speechless trying to gather her thoughts.
How was she supposed to process every bit of info that he was tossing at her? Finally, she moved and turned around before heading down the hall. Into her bedroom, she slammed the door shut and locked it as she leaned her back against it. Everything as so overwhelming and now she wasn't sure how to cope.
She loved Samael but could she forgive him for costing her their first born child? Honestly, if she had been in the same situation would she have done anything different to keep him from harm? After all, she had protected him from GADEM in the first place. Now she just needed to figure out how things were going to be fixed.
Tears were rolling down her porcelain cheeks as she leaned back against the door and closed her eyes. Andi had missed him so much in that horrid place and no that she had him she didnt know how to handle it all.
Samael stood there in silence when she finally turned from him and headed down the hall. His hand slowly reached up to try and grab her arm, but he stopped himself. She would need time, and he knew it must not have made sense to her. Hell, he didn’t know it was possible for that thing inside of her to force her into pregnancy.
His heart was breaking into smaller pieces as he flinched at the slamm of a door. She hated him… she had to hate him. It was the only explanation in his mind. He didn’t know what to do at this moment. Tears streamed down his cheeks as he tried to think of something to smooth things over. He didn’t want to lose Andi. It was why he made that deal, but he knew there couldn’t ever be anything that would make this any better.
Moving down the hall his eyes caught something in another bedroom. Slowly he opened the door to reveal that baby room. All pink and white, but it wasn’t overly frilly with girly girl overtones. A gloved hand covered his mouth as he looked over everything in the room. The dark oak dresser and crib, the toys placed in neat little piles. It was almost frozen in time to him. He made Andi… go through this alone and she didn’t remember… “Oh God…” He whispered.
He felt like a monster himself right about now. He couldn’t keep his feet from moving him inside the room though as his chest hurt from the pain of realizing just how badly he screwed up. Hanging from the crib was a fluffy pink blanket that looked like it had been used quite a bit. Like a little safety blanket.
Gently he took it into his hands and pulled it up to his face. It smelled of baby powder and Andi’s perfume. If he hadn’t already been crying his eyes out, he would’ve burst into tears at this. He never thought he’d be father material. Sure, he was still a prospect, did what he had been told, he had blood on his hands from helping dump bodies and all that shit. Everyone in the club had, but this… this was an all time low.
Samael held the blanket close and fell to his knees as he cried. “I’m so sorry…” He cried into the blanket. Now he wished he had been the one to die. That way neither of them would have to suffer this pain. There was no word for how terrible Samael felt. He just kept apologizing over and over again, rocking back and forth. His mind tormenting him over his decision. He ruined her life more than once and now he had no way of making this any better.

It was just all too much to try and comprehend in her brain. The fact that she had a daughter somehow and the child was missing. Vanished without a trace because her mind was foggy from erased memories. Sitting on the bed she closed her eyes trying to clear the fog and just figure out what she was missing. It was like surfing through a lifetime of memories in her head but hitting a wall when she tried to access the last year. After minutes passed she was pushing her ability through the fog that her own daughter had placed. [break][break]
Blood started to drip out of her nose and her ears as she pushed harder against the blocks in her mind. After all the fighting it was successful and some of the memories escaped. She remembered moving to this apartment and her job at a dinner around the corner. And the memory of having her daughter at a local hospital but the name was fuzzy. Opening her eyes she made it to her feet but she was dizzy and stumbled a bit into the hallway. Finding Samael in their daughter bedroom she glanced around. "I started to...remember.." She spoke before she hit the ground with a thud and passed out. [break][break]
Trying too hard to break mental blocks was hard on her mind. She still had a nose bleed and dribbles from her ears of the crimson liquid. In her passed out state, she found herself on the same beach scene, she had been with Samael many times. This time she was looking at a picture copy of herself but it was the alternate. 'Stop digging. You're never going to find me. I made a deal with your boy toy and he sealed it so the child is mine.' The woman said with a smirk as she moved closer. 'Here you should see how eager he was to make the deal.' Her alternate self-touched her forehead she showed her the whole scene. [break][break]
When her eyes came open she was laying on the couch with Samael hovering over her worried. Sitting up slowly she let out a deep sigh and her hand touched his cheek. "I'm sorry for getting mad at you. It wasn't your fault and I believe if it had been my choice then I would've done the same." Taking his hand she tugged him to join her on the couch. Leaning forward her lips met his tenderly as she moved to straddle his lap. It had been ages since she was close to him and she didn't want to miss another moment[break][break]
Hearing footsteps down the hall Samael pulled himself from his curled position on the floor. When he looked up he noticed the blood dripping from her nose. Hearing those words there was a slight hope in his heart that glimmered until she started falling. Her knees thudded against the ground before he could get to her but he caught her upper body.
“Oh God… baby. Please be okay… please.” He said with a light panic. He'd already gone through her dying for just seconds away from him. Getting up he pulled Andi into his arms and made his way to the living room. Laying her on the couch he pulled out a black bandana to wipe away the blood from her nose and ears.
Minutes passed as he sat next to the couch. His face and eyes filled with worry. But when Andi’s eyes fluttered open a little smile made its way to his lips. He leaned into her hand as she touched his cheek, his one hand covering hers. Hearing the words from her lips made everything he felt over the past year just lessen. His heavy heart felt lighter as did the weight on his shoulders. But that decision would always be there for the rest of his life.
Being pulled up to the couch he reached a hand to cup her cheek and met her eager kiss. As she straddled his waist he shrugged out of the leather Fool's jacket. He lazily tossed it to the side to have it lean against the leg of the small coffee table. His hands wrapped around her waist pulling her tighter against himself. His fingers drifted up her sides, his lips melding with hers. Getting to the zipper of her dress he slowly pulled it down and pulled away. “I missed you so much Andi.”
