I feel like giving up
It isn’t in my blood
Katherine couldn't hide her intent as Derek gave her a sly smirk. “Crash? What would make us do that?” She asked innocently. Although her smile gave away her mischievous thoughts. She gave a little giggle as she got up from the bike. Biting her lip she pulled him down to her level and whispered in his ear, “I can't help it. Having a rocking body, and the vibration of the engine between my thighs. I just can't get enough.”
Her smile stayed innocent as she listened to his threat of a good time. Biting her lip she felt the red tint of a blush on her cheeks. “Hm, very tempting. I may just take you up on that offer.” She winked playfully and walked to the door with Derek. “You're becoming such a southern gentleman.” She teased as she walked through the door past him.
She walked back to the booth they first ate at. Seeing Martyl again she beamed and swung her legs some. “I'll have some OJ. You know my usual.” Martyl smiled and nodded, “Coming right up Darlin’.”
But the darker side of this happy occasion was brought to light. Derek still had men after him for his dad's money. And she wasn't in a sharing mood right now with her mother. She knew exactly what she'd try to do. Her mother would make it seem like Derek was just brainwashing her. Making her think she needed him, that he made her happy. But that wasn't the case. She knew how she felt for Derek. The love she felt for this snarky, handsome man, is real and she'd give up everything again just to do the same thing.
“She doesn't deserve to know.” The words spat out with venom as her pupils turned to barely noticeable slits. “Wanting to toss me into the Looney bin she lost that privilege. She can die in a ditch for all I care.” Katherine glared down at the table. Every girl had imagined their mothers faces as they told them news about being pregnant. Katherine wouldn't have the luxury of that. Her mother would just look at her with disgust. Probably take her to a clinic to terminate the baby. Tears started to form some as she thought about it more.
Martyl arrived back with their drinks. “You gonna have the same as her doll, or would you like to order something different today?” Martyl asked with a sweet smile. Until she looked at Katherine and frowned. “Now what in Sam hell did you say to make her cry idjit?” Martyl playfully slapped Derek's arm with the ticket slip she had for taking down orders. “This is the second time you got her to tears in my establishment.”
