As the last notes had stopped, someone from the crowd tossed a bottle of water to the stage towards Jenna. Reaching out, she grabbed it with her one hand and raised it up saying. “Thanks for that, needed it.” Opening it, she downed a quarter of the bottle and then placed the cap back on and set the bottle down onto the stage. Brushing her hands across her dress to dry them off of the moisture. Looking out to the crowd, she could see Dana talking to someone at the bar which made her smile. Scanning through, she saw a familiar face from earlier on that day. It made her heart skip a beat when she saw that lovely face again. “You all may have heard about what happened at my day time job...and I find the Irony in it that this next song fits our lives. How we as humans and Mutants are judged by how we look. Who we spend our time with. What our religion is, to us who are Mutants...this song goes out to all of us who gets judged...Free.” All of them on the stage began to play again. Her eyes would look at Kelsey every now and then as she shouted, “Let’s Go!” The beat of the music had fired the crowd up as a good bit of the crowd opened up the dance floor and was dancing with a partner or partners.
”Everybody needs to start their own fire Everybody needs a riot of their own Everybody needs to be something that they are not Everybody needs to go it alone
Because! Living so free is a tragedy When you can't be what you want to be Living so free is a tragedy When you can't see what you need to see Okay!
As the first section of lyrics was done and there was that pause in between, she moved her Skeletal wings out from under her dress. Jenna would be seen spinning and dancing on the stage as she began to slowly glow her yellowish white aura. The wings were still folded up against her back. Facing towards the crowd again, she began singing again.
All the time spent hanging on to anything All the time spent knowing that they're wrong All the time wasted, stolen back, innocent You won't get a second more so move it along
Because! Living so free is a tragedy When you can't be what you want to be Living so free is a tragedy When you can't see what you need to see
Living so free is a tragedy When you can't be what you want to be Living so free is a tragedy When you can't see what you need to see
Wishing and hoping and thinking it's you That's got this all under control Never a minute has passed you all by When they haven’t invaded your soul
It’s not something you can hold It’s not something you own It's not something you can buy or steal You've got it when you're alone
As the group on the stage was playing and signing, Jenna began to spread forth her wings fully outwards and her glowing was getting brighter and brighter. As she grew brighter, the lights on the stage was getting dimmer until they were fully off and her glow was bright enough to light up the whole club as she sang forth with sweat starting to form on her face and neck. As she danced on the stage, her wings was glowing so bright that it looked like feathers formed on each skeletal wing out of pure energy that pulsed to the beat of her heart like a beacon in the dark lost out at sea.
Being free is a tragedy When you don't know yourself Being free is a tragedy When you don't know who you are
Living so free is a tragedy When you can't be what you want to be Living so free is a tragedy When you can't see what you need to see
Living so free is a tragedy When you can't be what you want to be Living so free is a tragedy When you can't see what you need to see
Let's go!
Hey, hey, hey! Alright then This is the story of your life man.”
When the song finally wrapped up, Jenna could be seen breathing fast and hard as she stopped dancing on the stage. Some of her hair was now clung to her face as she stood there with drips of sweat slid down from her face and down her body. It was a loud uproar from the crowd as she smiled at them. Picking up the water bottle, she would dump some of it on her short red hair, soaking every bit of it. Whipping her hair from side to side, beads of water flew off her hair as she shook her head. With a flick of her head backwards, her hair whipped backwards and had the slick back look as she stood there. “Hey Tiger...mind tossing me another bottle?” She asked with a playful tone. From the bar on the other side of the club, he took it and heaved it. Seeing it going up above her head out of her arms reach, she jumped up and grabbed it by the neck of the bottle and landed on the stage. “Give it up to Tiger the bar tender this fabulous night!” Opening and taking a massive gulp from the bottle, her and the band started to get ready for the next song. The red lights came back on as her glow died out like a flame deprived of oxygen. After a ten minute pause, Jenna walked two feet from the stages edge and said into her mic that was hooked to her ear. “In this life, we all have encountered our fair shares of iOS and downs and only want to be accepted by that one special someone that we may encounter once or on a daily basis. So this is for all of you my loves.” The next song started out more softer at first and then picked up as they all played and Jenna began singing on the stage to everyone, her eyes looked at Kelsey to see how she was enjoying the show so far.
“Little supernovas in my head Little soft pulses in my dead Little souvenirs and secrets shared Little off guard and unprepared
I was never good enough to find I was never bad enough to mind In the middle I will do my best Take me in your arms and leave the rest
I will give you anything to
Say you want to stay, you want me to Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me I want to know I belong to you Say you'll haunt me
Together, together we'll be together, together forever
Little variations on my page Little doors open on my cage Little time has come and gone so far Little by little who you are
I can see the patterns on your face I can see the miracles I trace Symmetry in shadows I can't hide I JUST WANT TO BE RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE
I will give you everything to
Say you want to stay you want me too Say you'll never die, you'll always haunt me I want to know I belong to you Say you'll haunt me [2x]
Together, together we'll be together, together forever I BELONG TO YOU [2x]
Little supernovas in my head Little soft pulses in my dead Little souvenirs and secrets shared Little off guard and unprepared
I will give you anything to I will give you everything to
Say you want to stay you want me too Say you'll never die you'll always haunt me I want to know I belong to you Say you'll haunt me [2x]
Together, together we'll be together, together forever I BELONG TO YOU [2x]”

Nodding her head in time to both Jenna's words and the music which burst forth from the stage, Kelsey's eyes locked with Jenna's and stayed locked whenever their eyes crossed, her body swaying and moving with the beat of the music - especially as she watched what looked the most angelic set of wings spread themselves out from behind Jenna's back and out, the colors and lights from them enveloping the stage. Mesmerized by the sight of it all, Jenna's words sank into Kelsey's mind as she watched the show...they were words she wholeheartedly agreed with. Oh, she knew there were a few within the LGBT community who didn't like the idea of mutants using their strategies and their ideas to achieve for themselves what her own community had worked so hard to achieve but as she often opined whenever the critique came up, "Every group builds on the successes of the previous one. We built our successes on those of the Civil Rights Movement, they'll build their successes on what we achieve now."..but she let those thoughts echo away as the music picked up, her body moving still in time to the music...

With the change in music and the pause that came with it, Kelsey focused her eyes and her attention squarely on Jenna, her head nodding once more in time to the music, the broadest smile crossing her lips as she took Jenna's words to heart and thought to herself, please, please let that beauty up on the stage be my golden bullet...please..., all the while keeping her eyes locked right at Jenna, not wanting to look away lest' it all be a dream....

You might be a Trauma Nurse if.... (a) discussing dismemberment over a gourmet meal seems perfectly normal to you, (b) when a patient presents with a list of medicine allergies you automatically assume they are a drug seeker or a patient of Dr. MacMillan's, (c) your idea of a really good time is Duelling Shock Rooms, or (d) all of the above... - Kelsey McNeal - Trauma Supervisor, Salem Central Regional Hospital
Breathing hard, Jenna looked at the crowd after the song was over. A good deal of them cheered heavily as she bowed to them all. The lights on the stage died out until the stage was completely dark. Jenna had another idea since this was going to be the encore of the show. Drinking the rest of her bottle of water, she chucked it off to the side of the stage. She lightly walked in the dark to the edge of the stage. The band members knew the song that was going to come up as the displays under the crowds feet showed of thunder storms and hurricanes clashing against each other. A loud crack of thunder booked through the club as they began to play their instruments like the storms they showed. The lights came back on in a strobe like fashion to Imamate lightening strikes. Jenna was levitating off the stage and looked like she was standing on an invisible stage or platform with her legs spaced out a bit and bent a bit.
“So down and digging I lost myself But it's the last time I bloodied my hands I'm living in vain, I never promised you a damn thing That I can't promise myself, and here we go
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
In the eye of the storm I make my stand But I'm not waiting for the walls to close in I just brace myself for the winds to change their ways In the eye of the storm I'm making my stand
Whistle blow down spirit, you're crawling in the middle Don't you point your finger at my face 'Cause every bad decision that you made you're living with And everyone else is to blame, here we go
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
In the eye of the storm I make my stand But I'm not waiting for the walls to close in I just brace myself for the winds to change their ways In the eye of the storm I'm making my stand, go!
In the eye of the storm I make my stand But I'm not waiting for the walls to close in I just brace myself for the winds to change their ways In the eye of the storm I making my stand The eye of the storm, I'm taking my stand In the eye of the storm, I make my stand, let's go!”
At the end of the song, Jenna lowered herself to the stage and took one last bow to the audience. Taking her guitar off of her shoulders because of the straps, she handed it to a stage crew member who rushed it back to her room. Standing at the stage’s edge, she lowered herself down and hopped off of the stage and made her way to the bar. The DJ turned the music back on with the crowd patting her back and one woman even passing out when Jenna smiled at her and winked. Cutting through the crowd, she leaned up against the counter as Tiger made his way over to her. “Good show darling, seems like your roommate had found someone to spend the cool night with. They left a while ago.” He handed her her favorite beer, a Heineken with the cap already off. Jenna nodded her head a bit and took a sip from the bottle.

Keeping her eyes - and mind - focused on Jenna, Kelsey was simple in awe of Jenna, cheering loudly along with everyone else as the show got to its' zenith, with one last song - Eye of the Storm - to wrap up the whole show, the surrounding effects - the thunder and lightning bursting forth from around the stage, the strobe giving an otherworldly aura to the stage - and to Jenna, Kelsey noticed - as Kelsey joined along with the crowds, cheering as the show came to an end.
Taking a few moments to catch her breath and let herself come back down to earth - not that I wouldn't mind Jenna taking me to Cloud Nine, she deliciously mused - Kelsey looked around and smiled as she began walking back towards the bar... Reaching the bar, Kelsey slid in-between a couple of people so that she could sidle up to the bar with Jenna next to her, nonchalantly acting as though this was her plan all along, and leaned against the bar, glancing over at Jenna as she ordered an Anchor Liberty Ale from the bartender - Tiger, she thought he said his name was - and saying, "That was a good show; I think I didn't stop moving to the beat of it all the whole time," pausing as she took a few sips of ale. "First time I've been here and I have to say, I don't know what I've been missing all these years," taking a few more sips and adding, "By the way, that sound system you picked out for me earlier today? Worked like a charm when I got it hooked up and all." After a few moments, she took a sip of ale and asked, "So you have any plans for tonight or....," Kelsey hoping she'd get to know Jenna more as the night wore on...

“Well...I’m glad she found someone to be with tonight.” Jenna said to Tiger as she sipped her beer again and set the cold glass green bottle back down. Looking up at the mirror behind the alcohol shelves and could see the brunette from before moving in closer to Jenna. Looking back down, she smiled and thought to herself, ‘and why aren’t I surprised?’ Sipping from it again, she slowly nodded her head as she turned and looked at her. Jenna had to admit, she was looking rather dashing in that outfit. Compared to the basic sweats she had on earlier? Yeah, very much better Jenna mused tonherself as she smiled some more. Kelsey began to say that it was a good show that Jenna had performed nd that she couldn’t stop to the flow of the music. With a Cheshire Cat like grin came over her face as her cheeks turned a light shade of red. “I’m glad you are enjoying yourself...Kelsey was it? If the flow of music didn’t make anyone move to it, then I guess I wouldn’t be much of an entertainer huh?” Taking a hold of her beer, she turned sonthat she was facing the brunette with her right elbow sitting on the bar as she leaned herself against it. Then she said about how the surround sound system that she picked out for her worked like a charm, after setting it anyways. Sipping her her beer once more, she nodded.
“What type of sales representative would I be if I sold you something that wasn’t good or had no good qualities? Figured I’d sell something that I use and something that works better then the high end products. But trying to find the right position and angle for the speakers does tend to be a pain to figure out...but hey...once it’s up, it’s worth every penny.” Bringing up the beer to her lips, she heard the starts of a question that trailed off. Raising an eyebrow for a bit, she lifted the bottom of the beer bottle and finished it. The rest of the contents slid out and she swallowed it. Setting the empty glass bottle down, she thought about it for a bit. “Plans for me? ....eh, I don’t think I have any plans for tonight or for the next two nights since I have this weekend off from both jobs. Probably get changed out of this dress, sit in my changing room for a bit to let the alcohol I drank work it’s way out of my system and probably think about getting a couple of slices of Pizza....who knows...the night is still young, so who knows where I might end up. What about you Kelsey? What are your plans?” Her skeletal wings shifted in there places so that they went along with the figure of her back as she watched the brunette sipping on her Ale. From the corner of her eye, Jenna saw a group of three females dancing with the one everynow and then looking their way. More noted, was looking at Kelsey from the table they sat at on the other side of the club. Turning her head, she looked at the woman who was looking at them both, and as soon as her dark amber eyes fell upon her, this particular female quickly turned her head in a fast motion that Jenna thought she could have seriously hurt herself. Turning her head back to Kelsey, she would point out. “Seems like you have someone’s attention.”
Jenna didn’t know that the person was the person who helped Kelsey to get inside of the club. Cracking her neck by tilting her head one way then the other, she would push herself off of the counter to stand up. “Well, I’m gonna head back to get changed out of this dress. You can either come with me to my changing room, or, you can go to that table over there with those three females and I’ll meet up with you once I’m done.” Turning Her head, she would lean herself on the counter and looked on the other side and eventually grabbed a bottle of water. Standing back up, she winked at Kelsey as she turned away and began to walk towards the back. Her high heel boots lightly clicking as she walked. Breaking the cap free from the bottle, she quickly drank some of the water as she elegantly maneuvered herself through the crowd and eventually made it to the door that had her first name written onto it. Stepping through, she was alone in the room. Sitting on the leather couch, she sank in it a bit as she let out a groan. Reaching down her legs, Jenna undid the draw strings to the boots and gently slid them off and set them down next to the side of the couch. Rubbing her face with her hands, she looked around and saw that her change of clothing was at the other side of the room hanging up. Sighing as she forced herself off of the comfy couch and made her way over. As she moved, she pulled the dress off and tossed it over the arm of the couch as she grabbed her black cargo pants and slid them back on. Adjust the car seat lap belt around her waist til it was snug against herself. On came the bra and her dress shirt. But she left the two two buttons undone as she slipped back on her white and black vest. Then the socks came on as she sat on the couch again, but that was as far as she was gonna go for the time being as she sat there thinking to herself.
"Yeah, it definitely got the blood going, that's for sure," Kelsey replied, taking a long drag of ale as Jenna commented on the sound system Kelsey had purchased and installed back at her house earlier in the day, "and yeah, its' working like a charm; these days, you almost need a separate sound system in order to hear anything off a flat-screen television nowadays, pausing when Jenna spoke up again..
What are your plans?”
"At first it was just going to be 'get out of the house and enjoy yourself" but the more I saw you up there, it definitely put a fire in me," Kelsey replied, finishing her ale and following Jenna's gaze over to where a couple of Kelsey's friends from work were dancing the night away; chuckling when she saw Anita catching sight of her and Jenna and then, just as rapidly, turn her gaze in the opposite direction. “Seems like you have someone’s attention,” Jenna quipped, to which Kelsey equally replied, "that would be one of my fellow nurses from Salem Central; she is definitely a party animal," listening once more as Jenna laid out her immediate plans... “Well, I’m gonna head back to get changed out of this dress. You can either come with me to my changing room, or, you can go to that table over there with those three females and I’ll meet up with you once I’m done.”
"Sounds like a date," Kelsey replied; as she watched Jenna head towards the back, she took one last glance around and knew right then and there she wasn't about to wait, that as much as she wanted to be with her friends from work, she'd much rather be with Jenna, so as she watched Jenna head towards the back, Kelsey - after a few minutes thought - signaled towards her friends that she'd call them later and began walking towards the back of the club. Making her way through the crowds of pulsating, dancing clubgoers, Kelsey could feel their eyes on her, both admiring her beauty and watching her head back to join Jenna.
Reaching the back of the club, Kelsey was let into the back of the club and moments later she was standing outside of Jenna's dressing room; raising her hand up to knock on the door, she thought for a moment, Do I have the nerves to do this? She answered that answer most emphatically by knocking on the door a couple of times, just loud enough for Jenna to hear; she definitely would rather spend time with Jenna and she was taking the first step in doing so...
