Roy moved down the street with a cocky confident swagger. He was dancing to the beat of his own tune. A song in his head blasting throug his earbuds. Roy snapped his fingers, hell he even did a twirl as he dip stepped and slid across the next few steps. He was jucking and jiving and getting his boogy on. He knew the score here. He could feel the eyes of literally every woman he walked past. He even felt his own eyes.
He passed by a department store window and stopped in front of it to straighten his jacket on his shoulders and check his hair. The whole time he checked his reflection his head bounced and dipped and kept up with the beat of the song. He was listening to Sexy and I know it by LMAFO and he was unashamed at it. Roy carried a smile living on his kissable perky lips. Roy raised his hands above his head and started to jiggle his hips a bit. "GIRL LOOK AT THAT BODY! GIRL LOOK AT THAT BODY! GIRL LOOK AT THAT BODY! I WORK OUT!" He was full fledged sining now. All the way to the freaking bank.
A woman walked past him and he winked at her. She smiled and waved and he nodded his head in dance as he chewed on his lower lip and and admired the backyard. Damn. Suddenly he wished he was a groundskeeper. Roy side stepped a busy New Yorker on his cell phone; who was carrying a cup of coffee and looking extremely busy. He twirled around a woman who was talking to her friend about yoga matts, but looked like she wanted to be talking about doughnut holes.
Roy snapped his fingers and did the Carlton dance with a short balding man who just wanted to get passed him. Every time he tried to go around Roy 'Carlton'ed' right back in his way. "I.... Sir....Please i have to....Sir!" Roy twirled around him and kept snapping his fingers. He was in a damn good mood. Roy had found out that his great Uncle somebody had passed away and left him a shit ton of money. He was literally dancing his way to the bank. I know what you're thinking. Why didn't he drive? This is New York baby! Driving's for suckers. Roy Grabbed a hotdog out of the hands of a hotdog vendor on the curb and slapped down $2.
It wasn't the correct amount. "Hey!" The man called. "Don't need ketchup thanks!" Roy called back with a mouth full of unpaid for hotdog. Roy pulled his ear buds and stuffed them in his pocket. Stuffing the rest of the hotdog in his mouth in one big massive bite he chewed heartily as he stood at the curb waiting for the cross walk. He finished his stolen dog and successfully scarfed it donw. The cross walk light lit up and Roy started to cross.
He was distracted for a moment when he saw a mutant fly across the sky. Right out in the open. 'Holy shit.' He thought. He was busy looking up and bumped right into Olivia. "Hey watch where you're....." He caught a glimpse of her...... "Breaking hearts." He finished his sentence all in one fluid sentence. There was no pause. Roy's heart started to race. She was absolutlely beautiful. Helping her up he smiled. "So where we going beautiful?"

[attr="class","SScontent2temp4"] She may have taken a job strictly as a teacher but being at a boarding school made her so much more. You had to make sure each kid was excelling in class and when they wanted to go places then you had to escort them in a city like New York. "Girls slow down! The store isn't going to just walk away." Her southern accent came out as she watched the teenagers run into a building. Still she waited patiently for them to finished their shopping and gossiping before she put them in cabs home. Now it was time for her Lunch break then she had to take some of the boys to a comic book store. As if they weren't already living a super hero life they needed fantasy. Heading down the street she wanted to get a gyro sandwich from her favorite to go cart.[break][break]
Though that was interrupted when she found herself falling to the ground because she wasn't watching where she was going. A squeal escaped her lips and a thud of her body hitting the pavement. When she looked up she saw a guy with the prettiest crystal blue eyes. His hands were offered to help her up and she brushed the dust of her jeans. "Sorry should've been watching where I was walking." Olivia muttered quietly before she stepped back a bit. This guy proceeded to ask her where 'they' were going and she just rolled her eyes. "Well I'm going to get my lunch. Have a nice day sir."[break][break]
Moving around him she glanced over her shoulder on last time then walked two more blocks to the cart. Well where the cart used to be and she looked down at her watch to see she had missed the guy by like 5 minutes. A frown tugged at her lips as she looked down at her phone and tried to find something as a alternative to her missing lunch. She could not handle nerdy boys with women fearing issues on a empty stomach. When she turned around to head to a sushi joint she saw the man she had bumped into earlier. Without a second thought the peper spray came out and she sprayed him in the face. He fell to the ground and she stood over him. "Are you some kinda stalker?"
For a few moments Roy just stared at her. She was hella fine. The type of girl he might strut past a second time at the club if the first time didn't do the job. Roy allowed a goofy grin to wash over his face and he couldn't help by bat those pretty blue eyes. In his head he still heard music, although the sounds of his dancing boogey playlist had been turned off and stuffed in his pocket. In his head he heard romantic orchestra.
The moment swelled and Roy could literally feel his heart speeding up. Did she know she was an angel? He found it hard to believe that she didn't. Her eyes were deep balls of curios wonder. Her skin was the finest! Caramel. Her hair was.... 'Wait! Where's she going? Lunch?' He stood there completely baffled as she walked off. How could she just leave? He gave her all his best moves.
The charming smile, the batting of the eyes. He even let her know he was available by asking her where they were going. He stood to consider what he might've done wrong for a second and looked down. To see she dropped her compact mirror. Looking up he saw what he could only describe as a 'fine ass' blending into the crowd of traffic busy on the sidewalk. "Hey! Wait up!" Roy yelled after her.
Roy managed to chase her down. Hey. He said stupidly placing a hand on her slender shoulder. What followed was an assault on his eyes and nose. "My eyes! " He cried stupidly. He dropped to the floor rolling around. He couldn't see a thing. Not to mention the fact that he was now rolling into traffic. "I just brought your compact mirror back. You dropped it!" He whailed. Roy could hear cars honking.
"Asshole! Get out of the road! If you're going to die, go in an alley some where I got pastrami I gotta deliever!" Some thick accented New Yorker with a portly belly proclaimed. Roy could see vague shapes and nothing more. He crawled over to what he thought was a light pole. He wrapped his arms around it finding the releative safety of the sidewalk. It was Olivia's leg.
Even though he was in pain and crying and his face was red Roy's hand ran up the smoothness of her calf. He coughed a bit still choking on the fumes of the pepper spray. *Cough, cough* "Nice" *cough.* Roy was smiling despite the pain in his eyes. He looked up to see if she was smiling or not but her face was all blury. It was hard to tell. "I think I need to go to the emergency room."

[attr="class","SScontainer1temp4"]
[attr="class","SScontainer2temp4"]

[attr="class","SScontent2temp4"] And he was on the ground rolling around like a injured animal but somehow she didn't feel sorry for him. Who chases down a complete stranger and tries to get handsy in the middle of daylight. When he mentioned he brought her compact mirror she frown and then felt a bit of guilt. Seeing him roll into traffic she was gonna stop the cars by shifting the road but seems they stopped on their own from his pathetic scene. Maybe she shouldn't have pepper sprayed him and waited for his explanation. Though the guilt faded away feeling his hand running up and down the exposed skin of her calf. She did get a bit of a shudder in her spine and she pulled her leg away. "Fine lets get you to the hospital." [break][break]
Her tone was softer as she helped the idiot off the ground and hailed a cab. Heading to the nearest emergency room she walked him inside. Standing at the check in desk he had stopped and started talking to a plant bout why he was here. "Mother nature over there snuck up on me and got pepper sprayed." Olivia said with a roll over her eyes before she moved and grabbed his arm to drag him to the desk. 'Fill out these forms and we will get to you when we can.' The bigger black woman said with her skeptical voice. Dragging him over to a seat she pushed him into it and sat down beside him. "I'll help you fill these out then im outta here stalker boy." Looking down at the papers she clicked the pen. "Whats your name?"[break][break]
Her eyes darted over to him and she looked at his puffy red face and she felt a bit bad for him. Poor guy thinks hes gods gift to women and obviously that works for him. To bad he was barking up the wrong tree. Olivia did give him credit for his persistent attempt though. After the papers were filled out she sat back in the chair. "I guess I can wait til you go back." Just like a change of winds she was already softening up for the poor sucker that thought he was prime rib instead of just hamburger in her eyes. Sure he was cute to look at but that just wasn't gonna win her over.
Roy sat with her in the emergency room. He wasn't his happy go lucky obnoxious self. He in fact kept sniffling and rubbing his eyes. He was trying not to cry like a big baby. The fact that his sniffles were gaining him sympathy, well that was just a bonus. Name. She asked. "Roy Walker. Roy 'Good Times. Walker." He clarified. "The good times are important." He whined a little. He was still rubbing at his eyes.
No matter how hard he tried he couldn't get the burning sting out of them. He pulled his hand away and blinked a few times. He turned his head to stare at Olivia. He still didn't know her name. To him she was just some chick who pepper sprayed him, but damn she was hot. From what he remembered. Right now all he could see was a vague blurry shape with brown hair. But damn her blurrs, blurred in all the right places!
"You don't have to stay. I'll be okay." He said. Just then a nurse called his name. "Roy...." The nurse paused to make sure she was reading it right... ".what the....? Roy "Good Times Walker?" He smiled. He damn near bust out laughing. He wrote that on the sign in. He never dreamed in his wildest dreams someone would shout it in a crowed emergency room. He stood up to answer the call. "That's me mama!" He called out raising his hand. He started to walk in the direction he thought he was called from. He ran into a wall. As he hit the wall he burst slightly into a form of digital static.
It was a brief flicker. Like a soft ripple on a pond as a pebble is dropped in. Just a moment of his mutation. This was New York. Everyone minded their own business here. No one cared enough about the person right next to him to even look up. Not even when some cocky asshole signed in as Good Times Walker. Roy brought his digital bites and megabites under control. Roy turned back. His vision wasn't any better, though if he shifted into digital form he could see everything in a stream of flying numbers... 0100011101010101010100010101101010110101 Or in other words "damn this blurry chick is hot." She fucking maced me but she's hot. He thought.
With her help he was able to make it to the back. The showed him to a private room and left him alone to wait for the doctor. As they were seated Roy fumbled around with the things in the room. He felt there was a patient's gown sitting on the bed. His fingers felt along the fabric and he was sure what it was. Slipping off his shirt he revealed hard cut muscle. Firm chiseled abs and god damn pecs looking like they were carved out of stone. He slipped the gown on and quickly undid his pants underneath.
He turned to Olivia, this near stranger he was undressing in front of....."What... You don't know who bled on thsi hospital bed. I already got pepper sprayed. Not trying to get hepatitus too. It was his justification. He just didn't want to mess up his clothes honestly. Roy folded his clothes neatly and placed them on the table. He sat on the bed and swung his legs happily. Reaching over to the blur in the corner he squeezed her hand. "Hey thanks for staying. It was real nice of you actually." He said with a genuine smile. It was a nice moment. Then he ruined it with his follow up. "Maybe I could repay you buy taking you out to diner."

Want to feel the warm breeze, Sleep under a palm tree, Feel the rush of the ocean, Get on board a fast train, Travel on a jet plane, Faraway, and break away.
[attr="class","SScontainer1temp4"]
[attr="class","SScontainer2temp4"]
[attr="class","SScontent1temp4"]
[attr="class","SScontent2temp4"] This guy was some sort of character the way he acted and even signed himself in and even with it being new York she kinda hid her face when the nurse called his name. Olivia watched him stand up and if he could just make it to the back on his own then she could go. Then he ran into a wall and she caught a glimpse of something strange. He flickered like the screen on a old television and it was enough to make her jump up and help him to the back. It wasn't often she actually met a mutant or at least one she knew was a mutant like her. [break][break]
When they got back into the room Olivia pulled the curtain closed and the minute she turned around he was stripping. The Shirt was off and his body looked like a statue carved by the Greeks. His pants came off and even though the gown blocked the view she blushed and turned her head away. Sitting in the chair beside the bed she felt his hand grab hers and she felt like her faces was gonna melt. "It's No problem. Just wanted to be sure you didn't end up roadkill."[break][break]
Her voice was soft and then she heard his offer to go out for dinner. Laughing a bit she rolled her eyes and let out a defeated sigh. "You just don't give up do you?" Olivia spoke as she looked around the hospital room. "Okay you win. you can take me out but it better be somewhere nice and don't expect anything in return cause im not even into guys." She spoke in a matter of fact sorta tone but she didn find herself wanting to see those muscled lines again. Clearing her head she turned when the doctor came in to treat him.
As they waited... Olivia set down the rules of the road and gave him specific instructions on how this would go. "What? I mean, I'm offended really that you would even think that i would expect something back. Why can't I just be a stunningly handsome man.... Taking a stunningly blurry woman out for a nice meal?" He smiled. He reached out to boldly stroke the softness of her hair and he ran his fingers against the computer monitor sitting, where he thought her voice had come from. As he reached out to stroke her cheek and play with her hair he spoke. "It's okay babe. We don't have to throw a label on this. It's too new... Too exciting. We just have too..."
He realized that this wasn't the soft touch of a woman but instead the cold sterile feel of something technology based. His fingers burst into digital static when getting to close to the monitor. He heard the electronic twitch and pulled his fingers away abruptly. There was a silence in the air for along moment. He looked around, honestly not being able to see much of shit and had to ask if she was still there.... "You didn't run out on me did you gorgeous?"
When he heard her tempered reply he smiled a bit. Though the smile was masking his insecurity. There wasn't many things that Made Roy 'Good Times' (Not a legal middle name) Walker insecure. The tainted touch of his mutation in the eyes of a stranger was one of them. It was one of the things that made him feel as if people were judging him... He never bothered with it until it was something he really needed. On a daily basises he went most days mutation free. Not bothering with the gift of his abilities in the slightest for any reason.
The silence was broken by his bold admission. "I'm.... I'm a mutant." He said softly. There was a slight hesitation in his voice. For the first time since they met the sting of humiliation graced his tone. Roy wasn't the type of guy to get humble, but here he was in front of her. Just a guy who was flesh and blood, and weakness.... The conversation didn't get a chance to get deeper as the doctor came in. "Roy Walker? What seems to be the problem?" Roy cleared his throat. "I uh....Got maced in the face and I can't see."
The doctor was still looking at her chart as she came in but stopped when she saw Roy. Suddenly she paused and smiled. Oh my. She thought. He's quite handsome. She laughed a little. Nervously. She looked back down to her chart as her flustered mind must've assumed Olivia was his girlfriend. "When...Uh... When did this happen?" She asked looking at Olivia "Has he flushed out his eyes already? Because that would be step one. The longer the chemicals sit in there the more it will hurt." Roy answered up.
No, we just kind of rushed here..... Be straight with me doc. Am I going to die?" He asked stupidly with sharp sarcasm. The doctor laughed. "No, I'm sure you won't, but You shouldn't drive or be alone much until you get your vision back." The doctor looked at Olivia and pointed her pen at her. "You're to take care of him until he's feeling better okay hun?" She didn't give Olivia a chance to reply she stepped out of the room. "I'll be right back i'm going to get you a perscription for some eye drops and something to wash your eyes out with." She said and was gone.
Roy turned to the computer monitor, once again thinking it was Olivia. He could usually sense technology and find it with his eyes closed though it wasn't plugged in so it didn't call itself out to him. Smling like a 4 year old that just got cake before dinner he teased. "Haha... You have to take care of me." He joked. "Doctor's orders. And you don't want to piss her off, she sounds mean. Better just do what she says... So....Your place?"

Oh man, what a piece of work this man was and Olivia wasn't impressed with any of his cocky attitude. Though it was such a relief they didn't have to label this. Rolling her eyes at him she sat back in the chair as he stroked the computer screen. She watched the flicker of static when he touched the screen and it intrigued her. "No, I'm still here mister Ego." She spoke softly watching him from a safe distance. He was a bit cute with his charming egomaniac self.[break][break]
The guy had one humble moment and admitted he was a mutant and that was already plain to see for her. It was the reason she was still here in the first place because find people like her was hard. No mutant really openly admitted it because of the fear and hatred they typically received. There was no time to talk about it because the doctor came in and she just sat back in her seat. When he asked if he was going to die Olivia laughed for the first time. 'Oh hell...he's gonna read into it. he's gonna think I like him.'[break][break]
When the doctor ordered that she take care of him she just looked a bit shocked. Of course, mister good times was taunting her like a little kid and she rolled her eyes. "Okay, you cant come back to my place." Her soft voice spoke up as she pulled out her cell phone. Scrolling through social media she waited while the doctor and nurses came in to treat him. When they left to get discharge papers she looked over at him. "where are you taking me for dinner? If I must babysit you then you are at least gonna feed me after missing lunch."[break][break]
Honestly she had never really had a guy back to her place. He was gonna be surprised to find out she lived on school grounds but at least her tiny house was private. At least she wouldnt have to explain herself to anyone about why she was sneaking some guy into the mansion. The more she thought about it the more she was nervous about the whole idea.
Roy heard the laugh. His first immediate thought was 'Oh yeah. She's digging my vibes.' There was a grin on his face despite the tremendous pain that was honestly all but gone. He hardly felt it, but that didn't keep him from milking this train for all it was worth. Roy had nothing better to do.
He could pick up his massive inheratance tomorrow. How could he think of something as stupid as money when something much better had literally fallen in his lap. Roy groaned at the circumstance. He wanted to see the inside of her place. She struck him as the type of chick who collected beanie babies or those creepy ass cabbage patch dolls.
If he was a betting man, and he was, he would say both. That was seriously going to fuck with his performance if he got there, stripped down and had Elmer from the cabbage patch staring at his business. How's a guy supposed to be sexy and put on the moves with that shit going on?!?!?
"We can swing by Carl's for some dinner. I know what you're thinking. But don't judge a book by it's cover. Carl's is badass... And they have the best damn shrimp tacos you've ever had in your life!" Roy's vision was already coming back after the nurses bothered to flush his eyes out. He blinked a few times and nodded at the nurse, who was kind of cute.
Olivia wasn't looking and didn't notice Roy checking out the nurse's rear end on the way out the door. Turning on the table he slapped his hands on his knees causing Olivia to actually look up from her social media. "Trying to find me on tinder? Babe you already swiped right. Besides. I'm pretty sure once you mace a guy you've already been to second base." He was grinning like a damn fool. "Dinner. As friends......With some benifits." He saw a scornful look cross her face and he immediately defended it. "What!? I was talking about healthcare. I'm assuming you're insured. I didn't mace myself. This is going on your bill mama! But you can order anything you want at Carl's so it's almost even steven. "
Yes, Roy actually winked at her. He pulled his hospital gown off right in front of her... Giving her a full glimpse of the business without even a hint of modesty. He talked as he put his pants back on. "So, been in the city long?" He was making chit chat. Like it wasn't a thousand times uncomfortable for her. He was fine. He wasn't shy or anything. Zipping up his pants he pulled his shirt over his head and walked to the door. "We don't have to go to your place by the way...My place works just fine." He said giving her one more wink.
He hooked his arm out gesturing for her to hook her arm through his and walk out of the hospital arm and arm. He was still facing the computer screen as he did so. Still pretending to be blinder than he was for more sympathy. But like he said before. He was milking this cow as long as it was still mooing.

[attr="class","SScontent1temp4"]
[attr="class","SScontent2temp4"]
Even if she didn't want to admit it, this guy was really started to gain some sort of affection. She wasn't sure if it was just his looks or the fact that he thought he was gods gift to women. When he mentioned some place named Carl's she did a google search to try and find reviews. She was a bit of a hobby food critic when she tried new places so she wanted to know what to try and not try. When he slammed his hands on the table in front of her she jumped and looked up. He spouted out some cocky line about tinder and she just laughed and rolled her eyes. [break][break]
"Oh, you caught me...I must be that transparent. I want you... I need you...oh baby...oh baby." Her tone was sarcastic and there was a blush on her cheek. The blush got brighter when he mentioned the concept friends with benefits. Though she was a bit relieved when he started talking about insurance for the medical bills. olivia already intended to pay the bill for the misunderstanding and he best believes he was buying her dinner because she was starving at this point. After all, she was a teacher and it's not like she was made out of money. Sure she grew weed but she didn't sell it to anyone but instead gave it to her few trusted friends.[break][break]
When he dropped the gown in front of her she was basically frozen staring at him. Not like she had seen a man completely naked before and he was a good-looking man. "Uh....I've been in New York for 10 years. I was a student at the Xavier school for mutants and now I teach there" She admitted as she finally tore her eyes away from him and looked back at her phone. "Um going to your place is easier then me explaining to students about the guy in my house..." [break][break]
It was the truth but the idea of being alone with him in a place was making her nervous for a reason she didn't understand. When he moved to the door she grabbed her bag and rose from the seat carrying his discharge papers.The guy was facing the computer screen like it was the way out and wanting her to lead him. "Yeah let's go this way buddy." Hooking her arm in his she headed out the door and paid for the hospital fees before taking him to the exit. "Maybe we should just take you home and order some pizza. your a little to blind to try and lead me to a diner. What is your address so i can get us an uber." when he gave it to her she got on the app and soon a car was there to pick them up. [break][break]
"Now before we get back to your place. Don't forget I have mace and I'm not afraid to use it." Laughing a bit she looked out the window on the trip to his place. Her fingers anxious wound themselves up in her hair as she tried to calm her nerves. Was she really gonna go to this guys house and play doctor to him? Was it just innocent nurturing right?
Roy heard what he wanted to hear when she started saying oh baby oh baby oh.... In his head he heard it as all truth. "Wait really?" His voice sounded more surprised than he intended and Roy happily accepted the offer of going back to his place. He played it cool when he found out she was a mutant herself. Honestly he wasn't even sure if she really meant to let that one slip.
He acted as if he didn't put two and two together. For the time being he said nothing about it. "So...Netflix and chill? I like you. You get right to the point." Roy took the words of going back to his place and ordering pizza to mean she was really on some fuck shit. That she couldn't really wait to have her hands all over him. Having his arm hooked he was drug along the hallways and smiled at the pretty, slightly blurry faces that whoosed past him. He casually drew pictures in the fogged up rainy window of the Uber. At least until he was yelled at by the driver. "Please don't put fingerprints on my glass sir."
Roy placed his hands in his lap and hummed quietly to himself until They arrived. Moving up the stairs to his little apartment, Roy's hand slid along the railing. He lived on the second story of a somewhat okayish apartment building. He wasn't rich, not really. He had his inheritance but he hadn't stopped to pick it up yet. For now he was living in 221B in the city. "Here we are!" He announced proudly on the second story landing.
Roy reached down and picked up a small plastic rock that hid a key to his place. Why a rock would be effective as a hideakey on a second story he never gave it much thought. He just honestly didn't like keys messing up the fit of his jeans so he never kept them in his pocket. This was New York. Everyone walks or takes the cabs or the subways here anyways! Unlocking the door he opened it to a cool rush of A/C and the yip of a little pomeranian.
Roy held out his arms and the little dog bounded from the recliner right into his open arms. "Who's daddy's big man!?" He cried as the dog licked his face. "Oh, say hi to my dog Frisky. Frisky. This is my girlfriend...... Uh... Wait What's your name again?" Roy was honestly embarrassed. He forgot to ask her her name. She knew his name. It was announced at the hospital. "I need to know you're name so I know what I'll be screaming later."
He smiled but it wasn't confident. He felt like an idiot in the moment and his face flushed. The TV came on by itself... A side effect of his ability and Roy tried to play it off as if he was confused. "What the..." At least it broke the tension. "So pizza babe?" He asked switching the subject and hoping she would keep riding the wave of his imagined smoothness.
