Samantha looked around confused. She looked from the stranger in the rain to her girlfriend and her sister; then back to the stranger. She couldn't make heads or tails of what was going on. She closed her eyes briefly and tried to focus on his aura, his energy. She wanted to see what she could sense, but she felt nothing. Her eyes shot open in stark surprise. He was an empty vessle. Nothing, no emotions. No feelings. No cares in the world.
In fact nothing was on his mind and Samantha looked at him with burning curiosity. The man standing in the rain pulled out a cigarette and lit it up. She watched as he nonchalantly blew smoke into their home. "Don't look so surpsied blondey. G.A.D.E.M. has a few tricks of their sleeves. Ye see.... I'm no ordinary house call love." He cast her a wink and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "As for what I want, well... It's quite simple really.... For a long time now The Xavier school has been our radar. We could never go after them publicly. It would be a public relations nightmare. Not every Tom Dick and Sally knows about the beautiful, beautiful work we do. So To keep it all hush hush and secret secret we allowed you mugs to opperate and live with OUR PERMISSION. Well guess what kiddies. Daddies not signing the permission slip anymore. I'm here for the blonde. She will help us in our research. She won't be harmed of that i can assure you."
Dylan crossed his fingers against his heart. "Cross me heart loves." He offered them a smile and Samantha just stood there shocked. She didn't say anything until she saw the gun trained on her. There was a red laser dot on Sara and Tamara's foreheads. "See those sweet little red love taps ye got there on ye foreheads? I have a couple of well hidden snipers. Couple of dozen actually. Ready to take you out if this don't go smoothly." Dylan snapped his finger and a pair of cuffs were dangling off his index finger and basking in a cloud of smoke. "Tricks of me trade. You like magic don'tcha? Put these on." Dylan said. "Our your moden home gets a splash of red color!" He stared at samantha and tossed her the cuffs. After a moment she slowly and quietly began to put them on, staring daggers at Dylan the whole time.
Despite every telepathic trick Tamara could think of, nothing seemed to penetrate this evil stranger standing in front of them; it was like they were facing a blank slate, a tabula rasa on which their futures could be written right then and there...
Even though the words were directed towards Samantha, Tamara knew very well they could've been directed at her or at Sarah and if there was one certainty going through her mind it was that she wasn't about to let anything happen to either of them...especially after seeing a bunch of red dots on both her and Sarah... "Our your moderbn home gets a splash of red color!"
As Tamara thought about what to do, she watched as Samantha reached out, grabbed the pair of cuffs and began placing them on her wrists. "No!" she yelled out, grabbing the cuffs from Samantha and, with a speed and adroitness that would've shocked her had she not been in this situation, placed the cuffs around her own wrists behind her back, standing at rapt attention in front of the man. "You want to take someone for research? Take me instead....I'm ready to go; take me!" Tamara said, challenging the man to take her instead of Samantha or Sarah. "Take me with you and leave them alone, alright? What are you waiting for; you want someone for research...well, why not a telepathic scanner? Bet your people have wondered what we can do...well, you have your research subject; what are you waiting for?" saying the last bit with an anger in her voice that said that if Tamara Lyell had to sacrifice everything in her life in order to protect Samantha and Sarah and other mutants, then that's what she would do.
"I just have one request, sir," she asked. "Let me have a moment alone with Sarah and Samantha before we go...would that be too much to ask?"
Samantha didn't like what was going on here. She didn't like the fact that Tamara was trying to give herself up in her place. She loved her. She didn't know what she would do without her in her life and this simply would not stand! She pushed Tamara aside and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are you crazy? Have you plum lost your mind up there girly?!?" Dylan didn't seem overly impressed with the sacrifice.
He raised his brows and scratched his forehead. The smug bastard even stopped the check the dirt under his nails as Samantha pleaded for the life of her girlfriend. "Tamara no!" Dylan checked his watch. "This is a might interesting, but I really have to be going. G.A.D.E.M. Is taking one of you home as a trophy. My orders were for the blonde, but if you're so intent on cuffing yourself baby girl.... HAHA. I'm not standing in your way. Dylan turned towards the window and wiped his nose in a signaling gesture. He grew tired of the show of emotion.
Frankly it made him want to vomit. "No, Love you can't have a moment.... Because you're all going to be joining me. Like I said barbie was the one I was sent for and Barbie is coming back to her Malibu dreamhouse!" There was a shatter of glass, and a moment. A single moment when Samantha swore she felt Empathy coming off of Dylan in thick waves, and then something stuck her in the neck.
She looked over and there were darts in Tamara's and Sarah's necks too. The world grew heavier. Silent and spinning the world of consiousness went flying out of control. Samatha managed to mumble a single word. "Tamara..." Before she crashed through the coffee table. "Bit of a lightweight that one." Dylan remarked. He turned his head to the side as he looke at Sarah and Tamara. "Oh have you met my friend Mute here? Fascinating fucker. See, he has the unique ability to cancel out other mutants powers. Right handy that one is."
He winked at Mute who made his way into the living room by way of the backdoor. He had been hiding in the kitchen ever since the three girls joined Dylan in the living room. "Don't worry loves, you're going night night, but Good old daddy Dylan will be sure to pack your special nighties and pajamas." He smiled as he saw the lights fading from their eyes and G.A.D.E.M. agents moved in to seize the Lyell sisters and Ms. Archer.
