Nothing left to say
What's standing in your way?
You had the chance to never walk alone

[attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"] The guy that had the gun was already getting into a car as Mouse came to her aid. He basically smacked her into a wall and the force made her hit the ground coughing. She was gonna feel that in the morning and she knew that as a fact all to well. When the car sped up and he helped her up she didn't really listen to anything he said after that. Her mind was racing a million miles a minute and she really just wanted to get out of the streets at this point. She wast distracted enough she didn't realize anything happening til she was in the air.
A scream escaped her lips then a loud thud as she hit the rooftop and rolled across it. This guy was trying to fucking kill her apparently with all this rough handling. It wasn't even the kinda rough handling she wouldn't enjoyed. When mouse made it tot he top of the roof she watched him break off the ledge and drop it on someone and she made it to her feet. Some of the skin on her exposed waist and arm were scraped up but she would live to see tomorrow.
He asked about a drink which she almost took him up on but the asking her if she wanted to go back to his place she smirked a bit. "Nah lets go back to your place and see if those muscles are good for anything fun." Bastina spoke wih a cool tone to hide her anxiousness to get back somewhere she may feel safe. Right now she was just a sitting duck out in the open. Plus she wanted to drown herself in something taking a little less thinking.
Mouse wasn't completely transformed. He still was only using about 20% of his muscle mass increase. That meant he didn't loose much of his mental faculties. Mouse wasn't sure what the fuck just happened or who that guy was, but he realized that she was rattled. He could see the look of fear in her young face no matter how hard she tried to deflect and hide it. His arm remained large... Rippling and bulging veined and massive.
"Fine." He said almost grumpily. He pulled her close and wrapped an arm around her waist. "Hang on." He said jumping down the other side of the building his fingers dug into the brick, clawing his way down. He dropped to his feet and let Bastina good. His arm returned to it's normal size. Though nothing about him appeared normal. His clothes were ripped and torn and his toes were poking out over the edges of his torn open boots.
He didn't know how he felt about open toed shoes but oh well. Nothing he could do about it now. Mouse kept an eye on Bastina. He didn't press her for information though it was obviously on his mind as they walked. They had no ride. They lost it when Bastina valeted a stolen car at a fancy club. What the fuck was she thinking? Even if they hadn't gotten the car for Carson as a welcome home present it would have fetched a fancy penny. Well, anyways there was no use crying over spilt car.
Mouse moved pretty swiftly for a bigger guy. After a few blocks of walking and looking over their shoulder he had finally came to an ally that he wanted to delve into. He slipped away into the shadows of the dark. Seeing a fire escape he ran and jumped on a dumpster. From there he turned and jumped to the fire escape. He barely caught it in his grasp. There was a clunk as the ladder rang out with hollow noise and mouse pulled himself up step by step. He climbed the ladder quickly and then kicked the latch sending the ladder all the way down to Bastina.
"Come on." He whispered. Looking around making sure no one was paying attention. Then again this was Detroit. You could be mugging an old woman in the middle of the street and no one was likely to stop you. Mouse tucked his hair back behind his ear and waited for Bastina to follow. "I uh...Forgot my key." He lied pulling out a switchblade he jammed it into the window seal at just the right spot to pry and break the lock and then gently slid the window open.
Stepping in through the window he moved through the billowy curtains pushed by the wind. It was a nice looking place, but it wasn't his. Girly decor littered the place from floor to ceiling and the open concept floor plan which saw the bedroom off the living room with no walls separating the two of them had pink sheets on the bed and a plethora of stuffed animal's staring at them. "Make yourself at home?" He shrugged.
He had no idea who's place this was but it was enough for the moment. Mouse peeled off his vest and set it aside. He wasn't likely to find many male clothes here but he did find a boyfriends letterman jacket. Mouse looked it over with no interest. Rummaging the pockets he found some smokes and lit one up. Suddenly there was something rubbing his leg. He looked down. "Meow?" It was a cat. Mouse stuck the cigarette in his lips and picked up the furry little feline he held it up to the light of the moon. "Professor furball? Cute." He said reading the nametag. "Meow?" Mouse looked at Bastina to see if she felt any safer knowing she couldn't be found.
